About the Author

ALEX WILSON

Alex Wilson has always appreciated good writing and held certain writers as idols.  F. Scott Fitzgerald captured him in college.  Later, John Le Carre’s work and, later still, the writings of Joe Morganstern, movie critic for the Wall Street Journal.  All three provide compact characterizations with occasional ‘nuggets’ of unique phrasing.

But, Alex Wilson’s ‘day jobs’ were in business, not literature.  During his working life, he toiled in the fields of marketing, manufacturing management and financial services.  It was not until business opportunities began to dry up in his early 70s that, with the support and encouragement of his steadfast wife, Barbara, he allowed himself the luxury of focus on the writing of fiction.

The result has been a gush of production; six novellas in his first four months.  And, it continues.

Seeing the emergence of electronic download delivery of material directly to computers, Kindles, iPads and even iPhones, Alex decided to save trees and trucking by writing exclusively for ‘mobile readers’.  His ebooks are quick reads, novellas of 10,000 to 18,000 words (a novel is 80,000 words and up).  A compendium of the Josh and Dana series is forthcoming as are audio book dramatizations.

Alex and Barbara live in St. Petersburg, Florida where he writes at a window with direct line-of-sight to the bird bath, a constant source of wonder and amusement when his mind is not elsewhere.
